About Me

After building a successful career in Corporate America, I earned the freedom to choose what I wanted to do next. The answer was clear. I wanted to devote my time and energy to something that had been close to my heart since childhood — animals.

What began as a lifelong love of animals evolved into a deeper commitment to understanding dogs: how they think, how they communicate, what influences their behavior, and what they need to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives. I pursued education and certifications in canine behavior, training, and nutrition, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience through rescue work, fostering, and behavioral evaluations.

Since 2013, I have served on the Board of Directors of Bay Area German Shepherd Rescue. Over the years, my husband and I have welcomed twelve rescue dogs to our home. Along the way, we fostered literally hundreds of German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois dogs and puppies. Living with these dogs has been one of my greatest learning experiences. They remind me every day that no two dogs are alike. Each has a distinct trait, a unique way of communicating, and something new to teach us.

I believe dog training is a partnership. My role is to help people better understand their dogs, recognize what their dogs are trying to communicate, work through behavioral challenges, and celebrate the progress they make together. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to dog training because every dog, every person, and every relationship is different. I don't claim to have all the answers. While I share the knowledge and experience I've gained over the years, I continue to learn from the dogs and people I work with every day.
